Choosing between elongated and round toilet seats starts with matching your toilet bowl’s shape. Elongated seats have a longer, oval profile, while round seats are shorter and more circular. Compare replacement seat options with fit in mind, and measure from the center of the mounting holes to the front edge of the bowl to help confirm the right size.
