Shower Door Wall Anchors Installation

Overview

  • There are two main types of wall anchors in hardware packs for KOHLER® and STERLING® shower doors: standard drywall anchors and hollow wall anchors.
  • Hardware packs for any shower door model will contain one or the other style of anchor, but will not contain both.
  • If different style anchors are needed for your application, they can be purchased at any hardware store.

Anchor Installation

NOTE: If there is a stud located in the wall where the wall jamb will be installed, you do not need to use anchors. Screws or fasteners can be attached directly to the stud and will sufficiently support the wall jamb.

Standard Wall Anchors

  • Mark and drill a hole at the intended anchor location on the wall. For tile, use a masonry bit.
  • Insert the anchor into the hole.
  • Use a hammer to install the anchor flush with the wall.

Hollow Wall Anchors

  • Mark and drill a hole at the intended anchor location on the wall. For tile, use a masonry bit.
  • Fold the ends of anchor together and insert into the hole.

NOTE: For detailed installation instructions, refer to the installation guide provided with your product.
