Sticking Trip Lever on a K-3497 Cimarron Toilet

Bold_Look_of_Kohler.jpg

This is not common, but with allowed tolerances, it is possible. If the nut is tightened too much, the bushing can pinch in on the trip lever shaft, causing the lever to stay in the upright position. Loosening the nut will resolve this. Remember, the nut turns the opposite way, as it is in the 'inside' of the tank.
