Refer to the following steps for removal and installation of the handle and bonnet for the Vinnata K-690 or K-691 and the Clairette K-692 Kitchen Faucets.
Removing the Handle and Bonnet
- Remove the handle using a 1/8" size hex wrench to loosen the set screw located on the short end of the handle lever (Fig. 1).
- Remove the Philips screw holding the stem adapter in place (Fig. 2).
- Then pull off the bonnet and white locking ring (Fig. 3).
- Remove the mounting nut with an adjustable wrench by unthreading it counterclockwise from the valve body (Fig. 4).

Installing the Handle and Bonnet
- Insert the new valve into the faucet body and tighten the mounting nut, turning it clockwise.
- Snap the white locking ring back on the mounting nut (Fig. 5).
- Locate the space that is notched out on the white plastic locking ring and position it in the 6 o'clock position.
- On the inside of the bonnet, there is a tab. Align on the tab of the bonnet with the white notched ring at the 6 o'clock position and snap the bonnet to the white ring (Fig. 7).
- Slide the stem adapter onto the valve stem, and using a Philip screwdriver, tighten the screw (Fig. 8).
- Slide the handle back onto the stem and use a 1/8" hex wrench to tighten the set screw back into the short end of the handle.
