Although Kohler faucets are made with the highest quality, like anything else with moving parts, they may need service from time to time. Kohler faucets are designed for the homeowner to repair. Installing a new hose into a pull-out spray kitchen faucet is something almost anyone can do.
There are two main types of pull-out sprayhead faucets; standard and gooseneck styles. There are some slight differences between the two when installing the hose. Locate your style below for directions on installing a new hose.
Standard Pull-Out Sprayhead Kitchen Faucets
- Turn of the water supply to your kitchen faucet.
- Disconnect the pull-out spray hose under the sink where it connects to another hose coming down from the faucet body (Fig. 1). (Refer to Additional Resources at the bottom of this article for disconnecting quick connect hoses).
- Remove the weight from the pull-out hose, taking care not to drop the weight on your fingers (Fig. 2).
- Pull out the hose carefully, ensuring the bottom fitting on the hose does not catch on the bottom of the faucet hose guide (Fig. 3) and (Fig. 4).
- Remove and replace the sprayhead if necessary. The sprayhead unscrews counterclockwise (Fig. 5) and (Fig. 6).
- Feed the hose back through the faucet spout.
- Slide the weight back on the hose before attaching the hoses together.
- Reconnect the sprayhead hose.
- Turn on the faucet water and check for any leaks.
