Although Kohler faucets are made with the highest quality, like anything else with moving parts, they may need service from time to time. Kohler faucets are designed for the homeowner to repair. Installing a seal kit (o-rings and bearings) in a single control kitchen faucet is something almost anyone can do.
1. Turn off the water supply to your kitchen faucet. 2. Remove the plug button located on the back of the handle (Fig. 1). 3. Loosen the small screw beneath the button using a hex wrench (Fig. 2). 4. Remove the handle. 5. Twist the bonnet, the decorative covering beneath the handle, counterclockwise to remove and expose the valve and mounting nut (Fig. 3) and (Fig. 4). 6. Grasp toward the base of the faucet and the spout and pull straight up to remove the spout. 7. Replace the black o-rings and white plastic bearings found around the faucet body, making sure to generously lubricate the o-rings and bearings with the included silicone based lubricant (Fig. 5) and (Fig. 6). 8. Slide the spout back on the faucet body and reassemble the remainder of the faucet.
