Flush Out a Fill Valve on a Toilet

A fill valve may need to be flushed out for the following reasons:

  • The water is not refilling in the toilet tank.
  • The fill valve stops too soon during the refill cycle.
  • There might be a blockage in the rim feed hose.
  • There is excessive noise or hissing during the refill process.
